A slightly more illustrative style.

painted exclusively with MyPaint on kubuntu 9.10 with fluxbox, gimp-painter to sign. Learning slowly how to alter brush settings. Mypaint is a really neat program, few bugs but very functional. as i get more familiar with it i'm increasingly impressed that it's opensource!

i'm not usually very inspired, but i will say something today. was thinking about several things, but among others, an interesting conversation I had on the

group. Jesus is Lord? what does that mean? Why is Jesus Lord?

Jesus, the Word, the Son of God, our one Mediator, and King.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:1-5

"The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." John 3:35-36

and a final favourite from outside of John:

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Colossians 1:15-17

i would want to glorify such a King!

Really beautiful.

It's peaceful and scary at the same time...
I was thinking: she has a source of light but everything would be dark without that light...
My English is not good and I can't explain better my ideas but I hope that the metaphor is sufficiently clear to be understood.
